Transition Year
.The Transition Year in Magh Éne College is firmly based on the ethos of TY in that it aims to develop autonomous young adults equipped with the skills required to cope with the demands of Leaving Certificate as well as the challenges faced at third level and in the workplace.
We are very proud of our long tradition in delivering a comprehensive Transition Year programme which supports and aids our students in bridging the gap between Junior Cert and Leaving Cert.
LCVP
The Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme involves undertaking two additional subjects: Enterprise Education and Preparation for the World of Work.
The LCVP yields significant additional points within the CAO system of application for third level places. A Distinction in LCVP is awarded 66 points in the Leaving Certificate examination.
